Head of Environment and Climate Portfolio Management, Transport ScotlandSince Oct 2024 Susan has headed up the Environment Branch in the Environment Climate and Sustainability Directorate within Transport Scotland overseeing commitments to transport climate adaptation, to maintain a safe and reliable and resilient transport network and the protection of the environment to minimise negative transport impacts on nature and the landscape and maximise Transport Scotland’s positive contributions to Scotland's unique biodiversity.
Susan joined Transport Scotland in 2018 as a Programme Manager to support the establishment of the Low Carbon Economy Directorate. As an experienced governance practitioner Susan has held a number of senior roles across Government, most recently as Head of Business Transformation in the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal’s Office and as Senior Programme Development Manager in the Department of Work and Pensions.
