Silas Nørager

Silas Nørager is an Associate Director at Arup with almost 20 years’ experience in civil and structural engineering, asset management and infrastructure delivery across Ireland, Denmark, the UK and the Netherlands. He has led multidisciplinary teams on major transport infrastructure projects and previously held a senior director-level role at the Danish Road Directorate, with responsibility for pavements, structures, geotechnics, technical measurements, research and innovation. Silas specialises in applying asset management principles, digital technologies and data-driven decision-making to help infrastructure owners improve safety, resilience and long-term performance. His current work focuses on bridge and road asset management, digital transformation, AI-enabled inspection, digital twins and the practical steps asset owners can take to move from periodic inspection towards continuous monitoring and predictive maintenance.
