John Warne has worked in the highways industry for a number of years, championing the use of innovative products and services that enhance road safety, efficiency, and sustainability. Throughout his career, he has advocated for solutions like retexturing, high performance road markings, and many other solutions which not only improve safety standards but also deliver substantial operational and environmental benefits.

In his current role as Business Development and Marketing Director at WJ Group, John is leading a road safety campaign aimed at addressing the stagnation in the UK’s road safety progress. This initiative has successfully united a wide range of industry stakeholders to collaboratively tackle the issue. The campaign focuses on five critical themes: culture, centralisation, creativity, conflict, and collaboration. These themes will support the widespread adoption of Safe Systems, outlining actionable steps to significantly improve road safety outcomes across the UK.
