Transport Scotland is Scotland’s national transport agency, delivering a safe, efficient, cost-effective and sustainable transport system. This work focusses on all transport modes, aligning with the objectives of the National Transport Strategy, which sets our vision for Scotland’s transport system for the next 20 years. Within the Roads sector, we work with partners, supply chains and stakeholders so that our motorway and trunk road network operates in a safe and sustainable manner which serves all road users, including pedestrians and public transport operators. This approach helps to deliver a healthier, fairer and more prosperous Scotland for communities, businesses and visitors.
