Materials Advisor - Waterman Aspen, Transport ScotlandAlan is a Chartered Engineer employed by Waterman Aspen as a senior consultant on full time secondment to Transport Scotland as a material advisor.
Previously a director with Breedon Scotland covering quality control, quality assurance and asphalt material design, he has developed a number of new asphalt materials as well as implementing quality and environmental management systems.
Alan started his secondment with Transport Scotland in 2015 and has over 35 years’ experience in the design, specification and manufacture of asphalt for use as a surfacing material. He is currently on a number of national pavement committees.
Fellow and Past President of the Institute of Asphalt Technology and also a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Highways and Transportation.
