Jimmy Barratt-Thorne
Associate Director, WSPJimmy is an Associate Director with 15 year's of experience in the bridge engineering industry with experience leading projects across the project lifecycle, including; feasibility & options studies, assessments, inspections, rehabilitation schemes, and detailed design.
The bulk of his experience is in the detailed design and delivery of highway bridge structures in various structural materials with a particular speciality in reinforced and prestressed concrete design as well as integral bridges.
Jimmy is the concrete materials lead within the Net Zero Strategy Group for Civil and Bridge Engineering, working with cross industry groups to lower the embodied carbon of concrete.
Jimmy is also currently studying at Cambridge University completing an MSt researching the embodied carbon of bridge substructures.
