Ali Davey

Project Manager, Historic Environment Scotland

Ali Davey is a project manager at Historic Environment Scotland. She joined the organisation in 2006 as a Research Fellow after graduating with a Master’s degree in Urban and Building Conservation. She manages Historic Environment Scotland’s “Materials Action Plan”, the organisation’s road map for delivering projects that support the supply and use of traditional materials. Ali leads on a variety of materials-specific projects, currently largely focussed on the sustainable supply of stone and thatch materials. She also has a particular interest in traditional decorative ironwork and is a Trustee of the Scottish Ironwork Foundation.

The Stone Carbon Calculator

  • This calculator covers product life cycle stages A1 (extraction) to A4 (delivery to site).
  • It is intended for local authorities, designers, specifiers, procurement professionals, the construction industry, heritage sector and anyone else with an interest.
