The road engineer in the age of Net Zero: knowledge, training and new ways of working

12:40 - 13:00
The age of Net Zero is now very much upon us and with ever increasing uncertainty in materials impacting project costs, how do we as a group of professional engineers continue to deliver safe, innovative low carbon solutions for our clients and end users.

In this presentation I will seek to explore some of the key factors that effect the design, delivery and management of the Road Highway Asset.

With the challenges we face for the future we require fresh thinking and overall collaboration to achieve these goals.

How do we begin to tackle key elements such as design, specification and resistance in the market to change?

What can we do as organisations, professionals and individuals to impact this.
