Kevin Hamilton
Scottish Roadworks CommissionerKevin was appointed as Scottish Road Works Commissioner in November 2020 for a five year term. His role, which is independent of government, is to monitor road works in Scotland and promote good practice within the sector with the aim of reducing the impact of road works. He heads up a small team based in Edinburgh. He holds a degree in Civil Engineering, a post-graduate diploma in Transportation Engineering and is a Chartered Engineer with over 30 years experience in the roads sector. His career has been mostly with local authorities in both Scotland and England. He is passionate about improving the management of roads assets, harnessing new technology and minimising the impact of road works activity on people and the environment.

Improving the quality of utility reinstatements
