Mark Watson works in Historic Environment Scotland, within the Conservation Directorate, Industrial Heritage team, with experience in listed building consents, conservation areas and urban regeneration. He is UK representative at TICCIH: The International Committee for the Conservation of the Industrial Heritage, convenor of Scotland Branch IHBC, the Institute of Historic Building Conservation and is trained as a historian. He is interested in World Heritage (the Forth Bridge, New Lanark, and advice abroad), European and Scottish industrial heritage.
