The SUDS for Roads Project stand will be displaying their Sustainable draniage systems (SUDS) and this will appeal to drainage engineers and environmental staff.
They will also be promoting the project's intentions to produce a 'SUDS for Roads guidance document' that is aimed at providing guidance for Roads Engineers. The publication date for this is summer 2009 and the SUDS for Roads Project team will welcome any comments!
On the stand will be a questionnaire/invitation to provide needs of roads engineers when constructing SUD System to Drain Road Run off.
WRAP (Waste & Resource Action Programme)
WRAP will be promoting the Utility Industry Agreement, which aims to reduce the amount of trench waste arisings being sent to landfill, and increase the use of recycled and stabilised materials in utility trench reinstatements.
'we want to promote this inititave to delegates, increasing awareness of the issues covered in relation to road works, ad to add the number of Scottish utility companies, utility contractors and road aurthority signatories already signed up and implementing the necessary commitments to reach their targets.
Dambach UK Ltd
Dambach will be displaying exmaples of their range of variable message speed warning signs for schools, hazard warning and driver information signs, all of which will be of interest to local & regioanl councils and consultants.
Dambach are going to be at Road Expo Scotland to raise awareness of Dambach Products in Scotland.
