HiMast™
HiMast™
HiMast passive post is recognised across the industry due to its frangible design and non-energy absorbing qualities. The anti-climb posts are classified to 50, 70, 100:NE:C:S:SE:MD:0 in accordance with BS EN 12767:2019, meaning that a vehicle loses minimal speed on impact with the HiMast at a range of speeds. In a collision, non-energy absorbing posts have little effect on the speed of the vehicle and present a lower risk of injury to the vehicle occupants. It is available in a wide range of sizes, allowing for installation along any road and provides an alternative to traditional structural steel poles that are protected by safety barriers. Made of aluminium, the HiMast is multi-directional and can be impacted from any angle and still provide the same performance. The post is designed to shear or breakaway following a vehicle impact to minimise the harm to the vehicle’s occupants, and as an additional safety barrier is not required, it offers a significant cost saving.
Timber Rail
Timber Rail
Hill & Smith's Timber Highway Barriers, distributed in partnership with Rondino Roads, offer a robust and aesthetic solution for highway safety. These barriers, made from PINUS Class 4 wood and clad with corrugated steel, are tested and approved to EN 1317 standards, ensuring high safety and quality. They are available in a range of working widths (W2 to W7) and containment levels (N2 to H1), making them versatile for various highway needs. A notable feature is the full wood treatment service, which extends the lifespan of these barriers to up to 30 years. This durability, combined with their aesthetic appeal, makes them suitable for a variety of geographical climates and environments where visual integration with the surroundings is desired.
MASS Barriers
MASS Barriers
Hardstaff Barriers' MASS (Multi Applicational Safety System) Barrier is a versatile and robust VRS, manufactured in the UK. The core of this system is a hot dip galvanised and powder-coated steel base unit, designed to control traffic and engineered to self-stabilise if a vehicle impacts the base, enhancing safety for both the workforce and vehicle occupants. The MASS Barrier can adapt to various specifications with five top sections: MASS 1: A high-visibility top that further secures the MASS barriers together for impact ratings. It's fully tested to T2 W5 standards, ensuring protection for workforce, vehicle occupants, and pedestrians. Pedestrian Guard: A low-level fence addition, easily installable, improving pedestrian safety and suitable for crowd management. Visirail: Combining Pedestrian Guard's benefits with a high-visibility railings, compliant with Chapter 8 requirements. Siteguard: An anti-climb, galvanised mesh fencing that provides excellent perimeter security for sites, workers, and equipment. Screen Guard: This addition is designed to provide privacy and wind shielding while maintaining high security. The Screen Guard effectively blocks the view into secure areas, making it ideal for sensitive sites. These barriers are suitable for various sectors like aviation, nuclear, and construction. They are particularly effective in urban areas for pedestrian segregation and traffic protection.
